Welcome to Southampton City Scout District Scout Section
This is the third section and is for young people between the ages of ten and fourteen years. Most Cubs move onto Scouts when they're ten and a half years old.
Scouts have an interesting and exciting programme. Scout activities are all about being outdoors. Not just when they're camping, but on the weekly Troop nights too. They can go hiking, abseiling, camp cooking, canoeing, caving, climbing, cycling, first aid, orienteering, pioneering, sailing and survival skills. There are seventy badges that the Scouts can earn. The top award is the Gold Chief Scout Award.
If a Cub has gained their Silver Chief Scout Award, they can wear the badge on their uniform until they gain the Gold Chief Scout Award. The Cub can also wear their Participation and Moving On awards.
