Welcome to Southampton City Scout District Cub Section
This is the second section of Scouting, which in 2006 celebrated its 90 birthday.
Cub Scouts is for young people between the ages of eight and eleven. However, most move onto Scouts when their ten and half years old.
Cub Scouts have a motivating and appealing programme. They play games, making friends, go on visits, explore the outdoors, camp and help others. There are thirty-five badges that the Cubs can earn. The top award is the Silver Chief Scout Award.
If a Beaver has gained their Bronze Chief Scout Award, they can wear the badge on their uniform until they gain the Silver Chief Scout Award. The Beaver can also wear their Participation and Moving On awards.

Cub Scouts Uniform - Cub Scouts wear dark green sweatshirt, navy blue trousers and the Group scarf.
